MTC Week 2 July 2-8

Fourth of July in the MTC
Hello everyone!
This has been my second week at the MTC and its been quite the adventure. They have me teaching a lesson to someone everyday! Its been kinda crazy to try and prepare lessons for someone on the spot and be able to change what I'm teaching based on someone's needs. Its been a really good learning experience and I think that I'm getting better at it.
I'm continuing to learn and grow more than I ever have before. It has been quite a humbling experience to see how much I don't know and then after learning it, having to teach someone in a really simple way. My Dad shared a really helpful scripture that made me realize that I can do hard things. "I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass" - Alma 37:6. He told me that as long as I'm doing my best, that the Lord will take care of the rest.
I finally got the date of when I'm officially leaving! on July 16th I will be on my way to the great state of Washington to preach the word!
I hope that all is well out there in the real world and I will email again next week!

MTC Week 1 - June 26 - July 2 2019

Hello Everyone!
I'm excited to tell you that I survived my first week at the MTC! It's been super fun! I have already had to contact people and teach the first lesson to people who are interested. It's super scary and super stressful. The food here is pretty good and it's all you can eat so I'm not going to go hungry. My district is super cool! We all get along really well and we have a lot of fun! It's pretty rough getting up at 6:30 at first but eventually you get used to it. I've had tons of classes and meetings and my neck is raw from my white shirts rubbing against it! Im still loving it here though! Everyone here is so nice! I have been having to get used to calling everybody Elder and Sister. While I've been here, I've struggled with getting into the routine and being stressed about different things and something that helped me the moment I read it was Doctrine and Covenants  section 112 verse 10 and it reads. "Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers". I just want to testify to you guys and say that the Lord really does hear and answer our prayers. He loves us and I've felt of it. If you need to feel of His love, all you need to do is pray and ask for it and I promise that you will feel it. I just wanted to leave that with you and I will talk to you all next week!
